   Sicilian Prestige Tour 8 Days/7 Nights

Day 1- Palermo
Your tour begins as your private guide greets you upon arrival to Palermo's airport. Proceed to the hotel to refresh followed by a brief excursion to Mondello and/or Monte Pellegrino.  Enjoy a welcome drink and overview of the tour followed by overnight stay. (Erice / Trapani)

Day 2 - Palermo, Monreale

After breakfast, depart for the town of Monreale to visit the Duomo and its famous Benedictine cloisters (il chiostro dei Benedettini) followed by a tour of the principal monuments of Palermo's historic center. These include: the Cathedral, San Giovanni degli Eremiti, Palazzo dei Normanni, Cappella Palatina, I Quattro Canti (the four corners) and Piazza Pretoria (The ashamed square). Time for lunch. Continue touring Palermo in the afternoon with the option of shopping or spending time at your leisure. Overnight in hotel. (Erice / Trapani)

Day 3 - Calatafimi, Segesta, Erice
Breakfast in hotel and departure for Segesta to admire the remains of the ancient Greek city, the towering Doric temples supported by 36 columns and the Greek Theater. Continue to the medieval town of Erice (perched atop a mountain at 751 meters above sea level) famous for its scientific culture "Ettore Majorana". Visit its splendid historic center: la matrice with its splendid bell tower, Balio, Norman Castle and Castle of Venus. Continue along a panoramic tour to the city of Trapani. Overnight in hotel. Day 4 - Marsala, Selinunte
Departure for Marsala, "la Via del Sale" the salt route, that offers views of Sicily's largest laguna, an interesting site to behold & visit the museum of the salt work's activity immersed between the windmills. Onto the Phoenician-Punic island of Mozia with its archeological remains (reperti) and the "Whitaker" museum. Continue onto Selinunte to visit the Europe's largest archeological park: the Acropolis with its marvelous temples, testimony to the encounter lost between the Greek and Phoenician-Punic civilizations. Continue onto Agrigento and an insightful, evening tour of the illuminated Valley of the Temples. Overnight stay in hotel. (Agrigento)

Day 5 - Agrigento, Ragusa
After breakfast visit Agrigento's Valley of the Temples: including the Concordia, Giunone, Castore & Polluce temples. Departure for Ragusa with a stop at Comiso. In the afternoon continue the tour of Ragusa's renowned Baroque palaces and later stroll through the quaint streets of Ibla di Ragusa's suggestive streets. Overnight in hotel. (Ragusa)

Day 6 - Modica, Noto, Siracusa
After breakfast departure for Modica; a town that conserves elements of its splendid history within its breathtaking Baroque architecture. Continue to the town of Noto, capital of Sicilian baroque culture, where the most scenographic monuments are located in the piazzas along the town's principal avenue. Afterwards visit Syracuse and the Baroque Island of Ortigia's historic center. Overnight in hotel. (Syracuse)

Day 7 - Siracusa, Taormina
After breakfast, visit the important vestiges of Syracuse's glorious past including the Roman theater, the Greek theater, the ear of Dionysis. Departure for Taormina, a popular resort of past centuries. Visit the Greek Theater and enjoy stunning panoramic views of the coastline below juxtaposed by Mount Etna's dramatic presence in the background. Stroll throughout Taormina's characteristic and picturesque streets with time to shop. Overnight in hotel. (Taormina)

Day 8 - Taormina, Catania
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to the airport in Catania. End of tour and services.
